FC Peterborough 3–0 Halesworth
After what felt like an age away, FC Peterborough finally returned to the Millfield AutoParts Stadium, and they made the homecoming count.
The opening stages were tight and tense, with both sides taking their time to settle and neither creating anything clear cut. But once FCP found their rhythm, the game swung firmly in their favour.
Goal – Junior
A moment of quality broke the deadlock. Junior produced a sharp piece of play on the edge of the box before drilling home to put FCP 1–0 up.
Goal – David
The second came from a superb link up. Vito threaded a clever ball into David, who coolly rolled the defender, powered beyond the last man and rounded off the move with a composed finish for his 13th league goal of the campaign.
Goal – Derrick
The final word belonged to super sub Derrick. Liam delivered a brilliant ball across the face of goal, and Derrick arrived with perfect timing to smash it high into the net and seal the points.
Back to back wins, another clean sheet, and the promotion push gathers pace.
